At just 13 years old, Luke Thill from Iowa turned his backyard into a place of innovation by building his own tiny house—for the price of an iPhone. While many teens spend their free time glued to screens, Luke was hard at work, planning and constructing his dream home using funds he raised by mowing lawns and organizing fundraisers.

Luke’s house is a modest 89 square feet, built with sustainability in mind—75% of the materials were recycled. Though compact, the home is fully functional, featuring electricity but no plumbing. The space includes a microwave, a TV, a loft bed, and even a BBQ, making it a cozy retreat that reflects Luke’s resourcefulness and determination.
