On August 20, Us Weekly confirmed that Lopez officially filed for divorce, choosing to represent herself rather than hiring a lawyer. The filing came after two years of marriage, with Lopez listing their separation date as April 26.
Lopez and Affleck, 52, have a long and storied relationship. The pair originally dated from 2002 to 2004 and were even engaged. However, they called off their wedding due to intense media scrutiny.
